School meals


School meals cost £2 each per day/ £10 per week. They must be ordered and paid for at least one week in advance, preferably by cheque to Essex County Council. The payment may be made weekly, half termly or termly. Any monies should be sent in a sealed envelope which is clearly marked with the amount enclosed and your child's name and class. This must be posted into the box marked ‘dinner money’ in the entrance area. Monday is the day to send in school meals payments

Free School Meals

Free School Meals (FSM)

If you are in receipt of:

  • income support
  • job seekers allowance (income based)
  • income related employment and support allowance
  • pension guarantee credit or
  • child tax credit (but not working tax credit) with an annual taxable income of less than £16,040

You may be entitled to free school meals.  We would encourage all eligible parents to apply, even if your child will not be having a hot school meal.  Every application increases our school budget allocation and thus helps your child.  An application form is

Cool Milk

Milk for the under 5’s is free and the cost of milk for those children over the age of 5yrs is approximately 22p per day or £1.10 per week.  All administration will be undertaken by Cool Milk at School. If you are interested, please either:

  • register on the Cool Milk web site
  • register by telephone on 0800 321 3248
  • or complete and return the leaflet to Cool Milk at School
