The Curriculum

The new National Curriculum was introduced in September 2014, it is a set of subject and standards used by all primary schools so children learn the same things. It covers what subjects are taught and the standards children should reach in each subject.

The National Curriculum provides an outline of core knowledge around which teachers can develop exciting and stimulating lessons to promote the development of pupils'knowledge, understanding and skills as part of the wider school curriculum.

At Stapleford Abbotts School we are using a model curriculum devised by the Local Authority for small schools. We are developing our planning around this model
